With the commoditization and the proliferation of airways, airports have become real friendly spaces. Large cities have invested heavily to accommodate tourists and businessmen, free spenders in architecture and well being of passengers.
Eager to show off their wealth and their technological masters, countries such as China and South Korea did not hesitate to embark on gigantic works, with architectural style and engineering unprecedented.

Incheon Airport, South Korea
Opened in 2001, this airport is more than 496,000 square meters and has 44 loading zones. It is the sixth largest Asian airports for passenger traffic. Very welcoming, it is a showcase of Korean culture, its roof is inspired by a temple and corridors are decorated with objects symbolizing 5000 years of the history of South Korea.
Marrakech Menara Airport, Morocco
The new terminal of the airport of Marrakech-Menara is an example of how to combine modernity and Eastern architectural tradition. Designed by a team of architects in Casablanca in 2008, its architecture is reminiscent of a Moroccan palace and geometric forms reminiscent of diamonds. The airport has 72 photovoltaic pyramids on the roof.
Chek Lap Kok Airport, Hong Kong
Compared with the spectacular Beijing airport, the beauty of this place can be attributed to its exceptional functionality. Indeed, between the bridge and the train came to Hong Kong, there are no stairs or escalators. The train station is located in the main and therefore impossible to miss terminal. From Hong Kong, passengers can leave their luggage at the train station downtown and register for their flight.

TWA Terminal, John F. Kennedy Airport, New York City
The TWA Flight Center opened its doors in 1962 designed by Eero Saarinen, its shape is a bird and its cavernous interior makes this device a unique place where time has stopped. The building has even become a historical monument of the city of New York.
Carrasco International Airport, Montevideo, Uruguay
Inaugurated in 2009 by the Uruguayan architect Rafael Viñoly, the airport is a tribute to the TWA Terminal in New York. With 1000 meters long, it was designed to simplify the lives of passengers and offers many terraces and lounges.
