TRAVELERS IN ALGERIA:



Vaccine:
No vaccinations are required to travel to Algeria.

Tourism:
Algeria has significant tourism potential. Its geographical diversity, triptych sea-mountain-desert, Algeria offers visitors a variety of natural landscapes.

Hotels
Algiers has international hotels: Sofitel, Sheraton, El Aurassi El Djazaï r (ex St. George), the Algiers International Hotel (formerly Hilton), Mercury.

Travel documents:
It is necessary to have a passport and a visa valid for authorization to go to Algeria. Algeria has consular offices in all countries except Israel.

Personal effects and objects:

centimes and 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50 and 100 dinars.
. paper money, consisting of banknote of 20, 50, 100, 200, 500 and 1,000 dinars.

Mobility:
Algerians travel daily within the country. As such, air travel remains the fastest way to connect cities.


TRANSPORT AND INFRASTRUCTURE

Roads:
The distances by road are long. The motorway network is limited. An East-West highway project is underway. Failure highway paved road network is fairly well
meshed with the highest density in Africa (107 000 km of roads.)
Algerian fleet around 3 million vehicles. It is steadily increasing. Buses remain the main public means of transport, followed by train and taxi. In the north, networks of buses and taxis are well developed with regular services between major cities. Heading south, there are roads that need maintenance actions.

The railroad:
Algeria has a network of railways 4 000 km, part of which is electrified. The densest rail links and the most frequent are located along the coast and serving all major port cities. The south is connected by two lines, Bechar (West) and Touggourt (East) which are the southernmost stations.

Maritime transport:
Algeria has a set of 10 commercial ports and 35 fishing ports. The main commercial ports are Algiers, Oran, Annaba and Djendjen totaling 75% of traffic. The hydrocarbon export terminals are Algiers, Arzew, Skikda, Annaba and has Bejai.
The transport of passengers has grown almost 30% of people traveling between Europe (France and Spain) and Algeria travel this conveyance. It is the National Company of Passengers (ENTMV) who makes regular trips from Europe - namely France (Marseille and Sète) and Spain (Alicante, Barcelona and Palma de Majorca) - and one of five international ports passenger of Algeria (Algiers, Oran, Bejai has Skikda and Annaba).
